Registered participants are invited to attend the following events:

  • Tuesday No-host Reception/Evening Dinner - The dinner will be held at the Golden Bull Grand Café, on Tuesday, August, 5, 2014, 7:00 PM. Cost will be $35 US/pp (not allowable as a registration cost - per diem). View Flyer

  • Thursday Tour - The tour will be on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Space is limited, so register early. View Details

A block of rooms at the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center have been reserved at a preferred of $167 US/night (plus applicable taxes) and are on a first come first served basis. Visa Information

Participants should check if they require a visa to enter the United States on the U.S. Department of State's U.S. Visas website.

Foreign travelers, who are citizens from certain eligible countries, may also be able to visit the U.S. for business (e.g. attend a scientific conference) or tourism for 90 days or less without a visa if they meet the Visa Waiver Program requirements. All eligible travelers who wish to travel under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for authorization on-line through ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization).
