Career Day

On Career Day, BWIS  invites 12 students, from four to eight school districts, to visit BNL and meet with women scientists, engineers, and technicians. This has been made possible by funding from Brookhaven Science Associates.

For this event to take place we require 10 volunteers for panel discussion groups. Last year's volunteers included scientists, technicians, engineers, computer experts, and a science writer. These women had lunch with the students and teachers, allowing opportunity for interaction with the group.

All panel participants are requested to give a 5 minute talk on what they do, and why they chose their particular career.  A question and answer session follows.

If you are willing to spend about 1 hour with the students,  please get in touch with  Stephanie Lamontagne-Mckeon, Ext. 7141.
