  • Principal Investigator for the Virtual Network On Demand (VNOD) project: VNOD aims to provide a virtual networking layer by enabling the establishment of on-demand, end-to-end virtual network domains interconnecting multiple end-sites with guaranteed bandwidth. These virtual domains can be dedicated and fine-tuned to accommodate the needs of specific applications/workflows.
  • Technical lead for the End Site Control Plane System (ESCPS) project: research of next-generation network resource scheduling methods and development of end-site network control components and brokers of transit network circuit services
  • Technical lead for the Storage and Network Co-Scheduling (StorNet) project: co-scheduling of storage with network resources with the goal to provide guaranteed, end-to-end network resources to high-performance data transfers
  • Co-Principal Investigator and technical lead for the TeraPaths project: investigation of use and integration of DiffServ and MPLS/GMPLS network technologies in establishing end-to-end virtual network paths with guaranteed bandwidth across multiple administrative domains. Main goal is the prioritization, protection, and regulation of network data flows and the scheduling of network usage through advance reservations in modern, high-performance, data-intensive, distributed computing environments
