GARS Research Operations OfficeJob Risk AssessmentsJob Risk Assessments (JRAs) are quantitative estimates of the risks associated with specific activities; the estimates are based on the judgments of personnel who perform the activities. JRAs help staff determine if there are enough controls in place for them to perform their assigned tasks. The SBMS Procedure establishes a standard method for developing, using and maintaining Job Risk Assessments. Assessments were done according to the priority assigned to the activity, which was based on previous experience, information on known work hazards in each area, and the number of employees exposed to the hazard. The link below displays revision information and dates for each of the assessments.
