IMS seminars are available to managers because the Laboratory is a supporting member of the Institute for Management Studies (IMS). The course registration fee is $325.00 per person and are paid by the individuals' department or division. Seminars are held monthly in NYC, with several additional sessions on Long Island.

One of ten national laboratories overseen and primarily funded by the Office of Science of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Brookhaven National Laboratory conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as in energy technologies and national security.
