Staff of Brookhaven, Columbia, and IBM are organizing a one day workshop to promote the following goals:
- To explore areas other than QCD applications where the QCDOC and BlueGene/L machines can be applied to good advantage
- To identify areas where collaboration among the sponsoring institutions can be fruitful, and
- To expose scientists to the emerging software architecture.
The workshop is divided into the following sessions:
- Hardware and Software status of both machines,
- Presentations on prospective applications,
- Roundtable discussion to define collaborative teams, discuss technology upgrade paths, and identify next steps.
