The laser beam can be modified using a specially prepared mask with holes (uper image, taken on the cathode monument). This hole patern will produce 'beamlets' from the cathode. The symmetry of the image of the electron 'beamlets' (lower image, taken at LPOP1) is a good indicator for the alignment of the electron beam with the electrical center of the gun cathode.
