Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

BERA-IAA is proud to present “A Bollywood Musical Evening at BNL” on Jan 5th, 2008 at 7:00-9:30 p.m. This is the first time that such a program is being brought to you in this part of the Long Island. The program is produced and directed by Sharda, two times Film Fare Award winner, play back singer, writer and music director of many famous Bollywood movies.  Sharda and her group will present many songs, dances, Ghazals, and multi-media music extravaganza. 

 

Sharda is the voice behind many memorable songs of yester years such as, “Titli Udi, Ud Jo Chali”, “Duniya Ki Sair Karlo”,  “Dekho Mera Dil Machal Gaya”, “Vo Pari Kahan Se Laoon”, etc., and was music director in films such as “Maila Anchal”, “Mandir Masjid”, “Garibi Hatao”, etc. She has sung in many movies such as “Suraj”, “Gumnam”, “An Evening in Paris”, “Sapnon Ka Saudagar”, etc. She sang solos, with well known singers such as Mahmood, Md. Raffi, Mukesh, etc. and with music directors such as “Shanker Jaikishan”, “Ravi”, “Usha Khanna” and “Iqbal Quraishi”, etc.

 

Sharda performs in many shows in the USA, India and abroad and produces albums. Shabana Azmi recently released her two CD’s of Mirza Ghalib’s ghazals on July 21st, 2007. She also brings to you music shows like this.
