Details of BERA-IAA DIWALI 2006 Function
We are pleased to announce that BERA Indo American Association (BERA-IAA) will hold its annual Diwali Function (Festival of Light) on Saturday November 4th, 2006 at Berkner Hall in Brookhaven National Laboratory. As in previous years, this program will be consisted of songs, dances, instrumental music, etc. performed by both professional and amateur artists to share the rich culture and traditions of Indian subcontinent. The program will start at 2:30 p.m. and is expected to continue till 8:00 p.m. We would serve you with authentic Indian snacks (during the intermission) and a semi-formal Indian dinner (towards the end).
The event is open to public (OTP) --- that means you need not be a BNL employee to participate. It is now open for reservations to attend and to perform. Since this has become a very popular function, we request you to please make reservations as soon as possible to confirm seating. Last year we had about four hundred attendees that nearly filled our nice auditorium (we cannot exceed the capacity). This year all reservations (including modifications and cancellations thru 11/02/06) will be made through Internet. If you do not have access to Internet, please contact someone who does. If reservations are made by Monday 10/30/06, ticket prices will be: $13 for adults (over 12 years), $8 for children (5+ to 12 years), $4 for Toddlers (2+ to 5 years) and $0 for Infant (0+ to 2 years). Ticket prices for Adults, Children and Toddlers will increase by $1 after 10/30/06. Please note that even though there is no charge for infant his/her name must be included to satisfy safety regulations on seating limitations, etc. BERA-IAA may bill full ticket price to those who fail to cancel their reservations in time and do not show at the door.
Famous Singer Sharda will be the Guest of Honor. Please click here for details
