1,000 Christmas stockings shipped out!!

Holidays can be very difficult for our deployed Troops! In 2008 we sent a little bit of home to some by stuffing 1,000 Christmas stockings and mailing them to our platoon and a few other groups as well! We filled them with holiday candy, socks, word puzzles, travel-size toiletries and notes with drawings from our local elementary schools. In addition, we added names on the stockings for our platoon members and had folks sign holiday cards with a note of thanks.

This project was coordinated in conjunction with the National Adopt-a-Platoon organization who supplied BVA-Adopt-a-Platoon with the names of troops who would like to receive items from home.
