Marcel Rosenfeld (left) and Ed Shea are BNL employees and both volunteer firefighters in their communities; Marcel at Middle Island FD and Ed at Quogue FD. Both departments are major contributors to the Adopt-a-Platoon initiative. Pictured with them is just a small sample of donated items. We send heartfelt thanks to both of them and their departments for all their continued contributions and support. 

Many of the items pictured above were shipped to Sgt Woodall deployed to Afghanistan. He is our contact with the 503rd and here is his note of thanks:

Great Thanks Goes out to Capt Marcell Rosenfeld for coordinating with his volunteer Department in Middle Island for their fundraising and contributions that will be shipping to the 503rd this week. They raised over a thousand dollars and used it to buy items our guys wanted. Great Job, and thanks to everyone for keeping our donation boxes full.
