Virtual Swim 2013


Starfish Program (4 yr old swim lessons)


Aqua Aerobics - Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.


Senior Aqua Aerobics - Wednesdays, 9 - 10 a.m.


Lifeguard Training

  • Mar 17 - May 12 (pdf) - 8 classes on Sunday
  • Recertification class on May 19th, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

BERA Spring Break Recreation Program, March 25 - 29

  • March 25-29 (5 days) for 5-13 yr olds
  • Children NOT attending camp may swim FREE from 2 - 5 p.m., a parent must be present.
  • Pool locker rooms cannot be used by employees from 2-5pm

BERA Summer Recreation Program, July 1 - August 23

  • Application (pdf) w/deposit due by April 19th
  • For BNL children ages 5-13 yrs old
  • Children not attending camp may swim FREE from 3:30 - 5 p.m., a parent must be present.
  • Pool locker room cannot be used by employees from 2 - 5 p.m.

BERA Summer Swim Lessons-only, July 8 - August 23

  • Application (pdf) w/deposit due by June 7th
  • Group swim lessons once a week - registration required
  • Swim lessons are 2:15 - 3:15 p.m. Monday - Friday

PLEASE NOTE: The pool and gym are always closed on Sunday. Between Memorial Day through Labor Day they are closed on Saturday.
Friday Family Pool & Gym night is still only $5 per family all year long!

Virtual Swim 2013

Join the BNL “virtual” swim to the Baja Peninsula — about 1,900 miles from where we stopped last year in Costa Rica. The swim will run for three months, January 2 to March 31. Join in the group effort to “get to Baja” — and enjoy a big Baja Party at journey’s end. But you must swim it to attend it! Individual and group lengths will be totaled periodically, then converted to miles and tracked on the BNL “Virtual” Swim Map. No minimum number of lengths is required, and you can go at your own pace, resting as often as needed. All are welcome to participate! For the record: Swimming one mile in approximately one hour expends about 380 calories, and 53 pool lengths equals one mile.
