Grades 4-6

This one-and-a-half hour program consists of three twenty-minute sessions, a fifteen-minute Radiation and You program and free exploration time with the museum's exhibits.

Static Electricity -- Learn about the structure of the atom and how static electricity occurs.

Current Electricity -- How is electricity generated, how does it travel and what types of materials conduct it?

Parallel and Series Circuits -- Build a series and parallel circuit and draw conclusions on the wiring in your home.

Radiation and You -- Learn about natural radiation. Explore prediction and probability.

Light Spectroscopy -- Learn how scientists identify elements.

Seeing in 3D -- How do we see depth - learn to produce two types of 3D images.

MAGLEV -
Magnetic Levitation -- Race cars on a magnetic track and determine a figure of merit.
