Paul Reardon, who became BNLís Associate Director for High Energy Facilities in the Directorís Office on July 1, 1983, leaving on January 25, 1991, to become project manager for the Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory in Texas, died on December 12, 2007, at the age of 76. Reardon had been a frequent consultant to the Lab and a member of the Visiting Committee for the Physics and Accelerator Departments for three years before joining BNL, and was a consultant from September 1996 to 1998. His prior experience included positions as Associate Lab Director and Accelerator Division Head at Fermi National Laboratory, and Associate Director and Head of the Department of Technology at Princeton Universityís Plasma Physics Laboratory.
