Upton, NY - The U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory will hold an art exhibit at the Laboratory's Berkner Hall, on Monday through Wednesday, November 23-25. Works of Brookhaven Lab employees, family members and retirees will be featured.
Exhibit hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day, with an evening reception from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 23. The exhibit is open to the public free of charge.
One hundred fifty works of about 40 artists will be on display, including acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings, sculpture and photography.
The art to be featured in the Brookhaven show includes acrylic paintings by retiree Neva Setlow, who twice won awards from the North Shore Art Guild and will be featured in a spring show at the Elaine Benson Gallery in Bridgehampton. The watercolors of Jody Love, another retiree, will also be on display. Love has exhibited in many regional shows, including the Catherine Lorilard Wolfe Association show in Manhattan and the Islip Arts Council show. Also featured will be wood sculpture by Anne Meinhold, who has exhibited in Brookhaven Town-sponsored art shows and at the Bellport Lane Gallery.
