UPTON, NY - Brookhaven Science Associates (BSA), which operates Brookhaven National Laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy, has donated $2,500 to Brookhaven Town's INTERFACE Holiday Toys for Kids Drive. INTERFACE is a partnership between the Town of Brookhaven and its corporate neighbors, united in an effort to provide help for Brookhaven's needy residents. For many years, Brookhaven Lab employees also have donated toys to the annual INTERFACE Holiday Toys for Kids Drive, and they have been generous in their donations to the INTERFACE monthly food drive.
INTERFACE Coordinator Maria Polak accepts BSA's donation from Brookhaven National Laboratory Director John Marburger. Also pictured are Brookhaven Town Councilman John LaValle (left), and Brookhaven Town Supervisor and U.S. Congressman-elect Felix Grucci.
The U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory creates and operates major facilities available to university, industrial and government personnel for basic and applied research in the physical, biomedical and environmental sciences and in selected energy technologies. The Laboratory is operated by Brookhaven Science Associates, a not-for-profit research management company, under contract with the U.S. Department of Energy.
