Classical Indian Dance Performance at Brookhaven Lab, September 7

UPTON, NY — Classical and folk dances from India will be featured in a three-hour performance at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory on Saturday, September 7, at 4:30 p.m. in Berkner Hall. The performance is open to the public.

Gargi Chattopadhyay, founder and director of the Omna Ancient Art Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the Indian performing arts, will present a variety of dances from numerous geographical regions in India.

Tickets, which cost $7 for adults and $5 for children from 5 to 12 years old, may be reserved by calling 631 344-5672, or by sending an e-mail to tope@bnl.gov . Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the evening of the performance. Only cash will be accepted for ticket purchases. Snacks are included in the price of tickets. Seating is limited, so advance reservations are recommended. All visitors age 16 and over who enter the Laboratory must have a photo ID.
