Accelerator Physics R&D Group
The group
comprises of four sub-groups:
Physics, Collider, Injectors and
Operations Analysis
- The
group is involved in multiple R&D and AIP projects:
R&D ERL,
eRHIC/MeRHIC,
Electron
and Stochastic Cooling,
SRF R&D,
EDM in Accelerator
Division, Accelerator
R&D Division and beyond.
- The group participates in development,
operation and
analysis of RHIC and its
injection complex (AGS,
Booster,
Tandem,
Linac).
- Some group members
participate in RHIC
experiments STAR and
PHENIX.
- Part of the group is
involved with US LHC Accelerator Research Program (LARP).
Some of the group members made significant contribution into the design
of NSLS II – next generation
light source at BNL.
- The
group plays leading role in BNL/SBU
Center for Accelerator Science and Education (CASE)
where its members teach accelerator courses and supervise PhD and MS
students. Many members of the group also taught or co-taught at US
Particle Accelerator School (USPAS)

The AP
