At Brookhaven national laboratory we work mainly in the
accumulator ring and transfer lines. Our group is part or the Collider
Accelerator Division also in charge of RHIC and the AGS complex.

The accumulator ring and transfer lines are
responsibility of Brookhaven National laboratory. Here is one of the older
versions of the machine. Thanks to Jacques Negrin. The superconducting
Linac would be at the left. The second target station is a future upgrade
possibility but is not in currently in the baseline. Here you can also
find all the released mechanical
drawings and photo library
The ring, of 248m of perimeter has a 4-fold symetry.
Every arc has four FODO cells and the straight sections are made up from
doublet cells with three long ininterrupted straight sections. In the four
straight sections we find (clockwise): injection collimation extraction
and the RF cavities. Diagnostics are provided all along the ring.
