Career Advancement in Research Environment (CARE) 2013 is a follow-up of CARE 2012 workshop, offered to early career scientists and engineers at BNL and SBU (including guests and users) in STEM fields. This two-day workshop will develop participants’ skills and reinforce strategies needed for research grant writing. The workshop will allow participants to interact, network, and build relationships with peers, experts and representatives from various funding agencies. How to best match agencies funding interests with institutional research goals will be discussed.
The workshop will address general writing skills and subject specific content needed to write an effective research proposal. The program will be divided into two broad categories
Registered attendees are invited to attend the optional closing banquet dinner after the Workshop on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 6:00 PM at the Three Village Inn.
Early career STEM scientific and technical staff members are encouraged to register as soon as possible by clicking on the "Registration" tab or "Begin Workshop Registration" button shown above. There is no registration cost to attend this workshop and meals will be provided. Selection of participants for the workshop will be done based on career stage. Preference will be given to candidates who will benefit from grants writing.
