Career Advancement in Research Environment (CARE) 2013B is a follow-up of the CARE 2012 and CARE 2013 workshops, offered to early career scientists and engineers in STEM fields at BNL (including guests and users) and SBU. This one-day workshop will develop participants’ skills and reinforce strategies needed for research grant writing. The CARE 2013 Focus Groups will present their goals and accomplishments.
Formation of new Focus Groups will allow participants to interact, network, and build professional collaborations with peers. The role of Mentorship in career advancement will be explored through a review of the CARE 2012 Mentorship session, a presentation on the BNL Mentorship program, and a panel discussion.
The workshop will be divided into two broad categories:
Early career STEM scientific and technical staff members (including postdocs) are encouraged to register as soon as possible by clicking on the "Registration" tab or "Begin Workshop Registration" button shown above. There is no registration cost to attend this workshop and breakfast, lunch, and an evening reception will be provided. Participation will be limited to the first 50 registrants.
