Users Check In at Bldg. 400
by Grace Webster, CFN User Administration Program & Outreach Coordinator The User Administration Office moved to the CFN, Bldg. 735, on September 11, 2007. Thank you to the Chemistry Department for accommodating us since 2003. Effective October 1, 2007, new and returning users with expired appointments must check in at the Guest/User/Visitor Center in Bldg. 400 to finalize their appointments before checking in at CFN User Administration. Next Proposal Deadline: September 30, 2007, 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN) at Brookhaven National Laboratory
provides state-of-the-art capabilities for the fabrication and study of nanoscale materials,
with an emphasis on atomic-level tailoring to achieve desired properties and functions.The
overarching scientific theme of the CFN is the development and understanding of nanoscale materials
that address the Nations' challenges in energy security, consistent with the Department of Energy mission.
