Matthew Sfeir

Electronic Materials: Ultrafast and Optical Spectroscopy

Matt Sfeir is a staff scientist in the Electronic Materials group and serves as the facility contact for Ultrafast Optical Spectroscopy. He joined the CFN in March of 2009 after a postdoctoral fellowship in the Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science department at BNL. Prior to this, Matt earned his Ph. D. with Professor Louis Brus in the Chemistry Department at Columbia University. His research focuses on developing novel broadband optical and optoelectronic probes with high spatial, spectral, and temporal resolution.
