Wei Kang

Dr. Wei Kang has joined the CFN as a post-doctoral researcher following completion of his PhD in Physics under the direction of Prof. Uzi Landman at Georgia Tech. His PhD research was directed to understanding formation and stability of nanojets through detailed simulations of the atomic scale evolution and hydrodynamic modeling including stochastic forces. His research at the CFN will focus on improved methodology to calculate electronic properties of nanosystems from first principles and applications to understand the properties of oxide materials with potential utility for photocatalysis.
