Gate Access at BNL Entrance Badged users will need to present their
BNL Photo Identification Badge. New users and those with expired appointments should have photo
ID and other required identification
to present at the Main Gate.
PLEASE NOTE: All new users should confirm that all necessary approvals are
in order before traveling to the CFN. If you have questions, please contact the User
Administration Office at (631) 344-NANO.

Check-In at User Administration New users and users with expired appointments
are required to check-in at the CFN User Administration Office to finalize registration, complete or
verify training requirements, receive COSA form, and receive a BNL ID Badge card. User Administration
office is located in building 555, room 348B, and is open Monday through Friday (closed holidays and
weekends) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. If the user will require access to the NSLS
experimental floor, they have to check in at the NSLS User Administration Office, Bldg. 725.

Equipment Training After checking in with the CFN User Coordinator, CFN
Operation and Safety Awareness (COSA) training is required for all users. This training is equipment
specific and will be executed by the Local Contact at the facility upon arrival.
