Nuclear Waste Management Facility Tanks Pumped Out
1995

Removal of Bldg. 830 USTs
Two 1,000 gallon underground storage tanks used for liquid waste storage at the Nuclear Waste Management Facility's High Intensity Radiation Development Laboratory, Building 830, were completely pumped out. The tanks, valve pit pipes, and additional contaminated soils were removed on July 24, 1998. The excavated area was backfilled with clean soil and seeded.
