Brookhaven National Laboratory’s BreakThru Mini-Grant Program
A Two-Year Pilot Program Sponsored by Brookhaven Science Associates
In Support of Diverse Communities and World-Class Science
Program Overview
Brookhaven Lab is excited to share its passion for discovery with youth
in neighboring communities. As part of its effort to inspire future
generations to appreciate the role of science, technology, engineering and
math (STEM) in our everyday lives, the Lab once again invites applications
for its BreakThru Mini-Grant Program. Nonprofit community organizations from
Suffolk County, New York, serving 10- to 15-year old youth from
traditionally underrepresented populations in STEM fields are encouraged to
submit a proposal for a program planned anytime between October 2009 and
July 2010.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete and submit their
application online. To do so, you will need to register to begin
working on a new application or log in to continue working on an application that you've
already begun.
A printed version of the application is available
here. (pdf)
The application period for this year's Mini-Grant Program is closed.
Please check this site in January 2010 for information regarding the next
application period.
A press release announcing the recipients of the 2008 mini-grants is available
here.
