Motivation

The Seventh CW and High Average Power RF Workshop will be hosted by Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). The goal of this workshop is to share experiences among designers and users of CW and high average power RF systems that utilize high-power klystrons, gridded tubes, combined solid-state architectures, high-voltage power supplies, high-voltage modulators, high-power combiners, circulators, cavities, power couplers and tuners. New ideas for high-power RF system upgrades and novel ways of RF power generation and distribution will also be discussed. The 3 ½ day workshop will take place from May 8 till May 11 with an optional visit to BNL.

Call for Abstracts

Participants are encouraged to submit abstracts on subjects of interest to the International High-power RF community. Abstract submission will start at the beginning of January, using the CERN Indico system. The length of the abstract should not exceed 200 words. Please email Daniel Valuch at daniel.valuch@cern.ch if you experience problems submitting your abstract. Submission Deadline: April 27, 2012.

Special Events

	Wine Tasting - Registered attendees are invited to attend the wine tasting excursion at the Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard on Wednesday, May 9. More... The event consists of a tasting of 4 wines, discount purchasing and a tour of their first ½ acre which founder Sam Rubin planted by hand - also included is a visit with the 25 beautiful rescued horses (weather permitting). BHFV maintains a horse rescue sanctuary at the winery. A tour will be given where you will meet and hear the amazing stories about these beautiful horses. The profits from the sale of BHFV's horse rescue wine goes to support the massive costs for maintaining quality care for these horses as well as BHFV's ongoing rescue efforts.
	Tour BNL - The tour will take place on Wednesday afternoon prior to the banquet dinner. Non-US citizens must be registered and approved in the BNL Guest Information System (GIS) at least 30 days prior to the Workshop. More... Busses will take attendees from the hotel to BNL for a tour of the NSLS-II and CAD accelerators. Groups of 10-12 people will be organized and tours led through the facilities. Normal footwear (flat and closed shoes) is required for the tour, no sandals or high-heeled shoes.
	Banquet Dinner - Registered attendees are invited to attend the banquet dinner at the Long Island Aquarium on Wednesday, May 9. Two lucky attendees will be chosen from a pool of volunteers (sign-up when you register) to swim with the sharks after dinner.
