
All Non-U.S. Citizens must be registered and approved in the Guest Information System (GIS) before they will be allowed access to the laboratory. If you are using on-site housing then you must also be registered and approved in GIS as well. Registering in GIS does not automatically register you for this event. If you have a current BNL Appointment and a valid BNL Guest Number or you have a pending Guest Registration (GR) Number, it is not necessary to register in GIS again. Please register in GIS as soon as possible to ensure sufficient time for approval. It is the attendees responsibility to make sure that their BNL appointment is still active before and during their registered event.

Once you have registered in GIS, you will automatically receive e-mails in response to let you know what further instructions are necessary prior to your arrival. Upon initially completing the online form you will receive an e-mail giving you a GR number; this number is only a tracking number. This is not your final Identification number. When your trip is fully approved, you will receive an e-mail indicating that you are approved and you will receive your Identification number.
Attendees will not be allowed on-site if their BNL appointment expires!
Non-U.S. Citizens with active BNL appointments but whose Passport, Visa, or USCIS documentation have expired must bring their updated documentation with them and check-in at the Guest, User, Visitor (GUV) Center between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, to update their USCIS documentation. Upon arrival at BNL, you have to go to the GUV Center located in the Research Support Building (Bldg. 400) to check in. Please make sure to bring proper identification.
