Students perform a scientific investigation to discover the geological similarities and differences between an Earth soil sample and a simulated Martian regolith (soil) sample.
Elementary Grade Level 4th, 5th, and 6th.
Lesson Objectives
1) Working in cooperative groups, complete a scientific investigation.
2) Discover the properties of each soil sample and make comparisons.
3) Discuss the collaboration between BNL and NASA scientists.
