Environmental Management System

The EENS Directorate manages the environmental impact of their operations and activities at BNL by maintaining an Environmental Management System (EMS) in conformance with the International Standard 14001.  Our EMS assures that activities are conducted in compliance with BNL's EMS and in-line with the commitments set forth in BNL's  Environmental, Safety, Security, and Health Policy.

One of ten national laboratories overseen and primarily funded by the Office of Science of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Brookhaven National Laboratory conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as in energy technologies and national security.
