BNL strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for its staff, guests, contractors, and visitors. Good housekeeping reduces the likelihood of injuries & near-misses. Housekeeping is an integral part of every process, operation and task. This standard establishes the acceptable housekeeping practices for the Laboratory.

Applicability:
This guideline applies to the entire site including office, laboratory, experimental, industrial, storage and construction spaces and sites. All workers, contractors, guests, and users are responsible for performing their assigned tasks for meeting this housekeeping guideline.

DOE, Office of Science One of ten national laboratories overseen and primarily funded by the Office of Science of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Brookhaven National Laboratory conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as in energy technologies and national security.
