High standards of sanitation must be maintained to ensure the
protection of BNL employees and guests from potential health
problems. Conditions or activities that might serve as avenues for
the spread of contamination and disease must be eliminated by the
use of established hygienic principles.
This Subject Area provides information designed to protect BNL
personnel against health and safety hazards associated with
unsanitary conditions. It discusses sanitary considerations at food
preparation facilities, child care facilities, cleanliness of food
service personnel and equipment, vermin control, and personal
hygiene issues are addressed.
