"MiniBooNE, Neutral Current Elastic Interactions and the search for Dark Matter"
Presented by Ranjan Dharmapalan., The University of Alabama
Thursday, July 25, 2013, 3 pm
Small Seminar Room, Bldg. 510
Hosted by: David Jaffe
The MiniBooNE experiment has collected and analyzed the largest samples of neutrino-nucleon and antineutrino-nucleon neutral current elastic (NCE) scattering events. In addition to being valuable inputs to next generation of neutrino oscillation experiments, the unprecedented statistics has enabled the the study of various nuclear phenomena, which will be discussed. Additionally, a new and exciting possibility of searching for sub-GeV dark matter in MiniBooNE will also be discussed.
