Large Conference Room, Buildiing 703
Hosted by: Eric Dooryhee
Synchrotron X-Ray Powder Diffraction and Pair Distribution Function measurements have been used to study mineral phase transitions. XRPD (Daresbury SRS) and PDF (Swiss Light Source) have been used to study the bacterially induced transformation of nanocrystalline ferrihydrite to magnetite. High temperature XRPD (HASYLAB, Hamburg) has been used to study phase transitions in synthetic anhydrous analogues of the mineral Leucite.
