We discuss recently emerging evidences that converge on a nontrivial temperature dependence of the jet-medium coupling and in particular its enhancement near the parton/hadron phase boundary. These evidences come from analyses of overall suppression as well as the energy loss anisotropy confronted with RHIC+LHC data. We also briefly discuss potentially final state jet attenuation in hot medium possibly created in the "mini-bang" (pPb and dAu collisions).
