welcomes new BNLers and their families

The BNL Hospitality Committee welcomes new BNLers and their families.  The committee provides friendship, fellowship and information about life at the Lab and its surroundings. The Committee members speak many different languages, some of which include Dutch, German, Hindi, Italian, French, Japanese, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and English.

Our Welcome Coffee meets on Tuesdays in the Rec Hall lounge from 10:30am to noon.

The Hospitality Playgroup meets on Wednesdays in the Rec Hall main room from 10am to noon. They also do activities outside of BNL. To join this group and see the schedule, please go to:  www.meetup.com/BNL-Playgroup

The BNL English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program offers informal English classes to help with your conversational English and opportunities to practice presentation skills.

One of ten national laboratories overseen and primarily funded by the Office of Science of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Brookhaven National Laboratory conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as in energy technologies and national security.
