What is SharePoint?

Microsoft SharePoint allows individuals in organizations to easily create and manage collaborative websites. The ability to effectively plan, design, deploy and utilize a SharePoint site is essential to reap its benefits. In this session, you acquire the fundamental knowledge to build SharePoint sites; define out-of-the box lists and libraries; specify access permissions; create custom lists; enable document management features: version control, check-in/check-out, content approval; embed Web Parts; and integrate SharePoint with Outlook, Excel and Word.
