Telephone Labels Re Use of 10XXX

It has been reported that adhesive labels reading "Save on Long Distance, DIAL 10XXX" have appeared on some phones at BNL. Use of such stickers at BNL is inappropriate:

• Their use suggests (incorrectly) that BNL recommends the 10XXX service.
• Since 10XXX codes cannot be used from BNL phones, the stickers convey confusing information to whoever sees them.

Such stickers must be removed from BNL telephones.
