Use of ASCII Symbols
Symbols are problematic
when submitting text through the web or when converting
between software applications. ASCII symbols created
using a combination of the Alt key and the number keypad
on your keyboard will retain formatting when font
changes occur or when converted to other programs. The
list of available symbols is short, however. Please use
ASCII symbols whenever possible.
You may either select the
symbol with your mouse and copy it from here to paste
into your web page or use the designated ALT key. To use
ALT keys, hold down your right ALT key and use the
number keypad on your keyboard to enter the appropriate
number listed below.
