LHC@BNL Workshop

Note: This event is open to the public only for January 10, 2011.

Motivation

Understanding data from the LHC will require significant interactions between experimentalists and theorists. The LHC@BNL effort is aimed at facilitating these interactions and fostering future collaborations.

The emphasis of the workshop will be on Early Physics at the LHC. This workshop will focus on supersymmetry at the LHC and will include pedagogical lectures on supersymmetry by Ian Aitchison, along with results and lesson learned from experimental searches for supersymmetry at the Tevatron. There will be presentations on model independent searches for supersymmetry and the prospects at the LHC.

The day will have ample time for discussion. We particularly encourage New York area graduate students, post-docs, and faculty to attend.
