The conference program will include invited and contributed talks in plenary and parallel sessions as well as a poster session on Friday afternoon. Details of the program is available on the LHCP 2014 Indico site. An outline of the scientific agenda is provided below.
The LHCP conference series highlights experimental results from the LHC and Tevatron collider experiments along with related theoretical developments. If you are a member of one of the six major experiments (CDF and DZero, or ALICE, ATLAS, CMS, and LHCb), your experimental program is already covered by the conference organizers, through interactions with the relevant experimental Speakers Committees.
If you have an experimental abstract or poster request from a smaller experiment at the LHC, or an abstract or poster request for a theoretical talk, please send it directly to the chairs of the Program Committee (K. Einsweiler <einsweiler AT lbl.gov> and G. Landsberg <Greg.Landsberg AT cern.ch>). They will ensure that it is reviewed by the Program Committee and considered for inclusion in the conference program. The deadline for the abstracts and posters is April 10, 2014.
Each poster will be assigned an individual poster board. Posters should be printed in A0 vertical format (33x47 inches) by the presenter and brought directly to the conference on the poster session day (Friday 6 June). No poster printing facilities will be available at the conference site. Posters should be affixed to the boards with T-pins which will be made available. The poster Number, Title, and Author/Presenter & Affiliation should be printed on the poster at the top, center-justified in a reasonably large font.
A floor plan showing each poster location will be made available at the beginning of the conference & communicated to poster authors by email, together with information as to when to put up the posters. Presenters are responsible for removing their posters at the end of the session. As we are unable to store posters at the conference site, posters remaining on the boards after the session will be discarded.
All slides should be provided in PDF format, and must be uploaded to the LHCP Indico site the day before the scheduled presentation time at the latest. It is required to log in with your Indico account in order to submit your presentation. If you do not have an Indico account, or have encountered any issues with the uploads, you can send your PDF file to email@example.com for assistance, and also bring it on a USB drive.
The proceedings of the second annual LHCP will be published online on eCONF.
As talk and poster contributors, please prepare the papers with the following page limits, including the title page:
The papers for the proceedings should be prepared using the following
Please modify necessary parts of the file eprint.tex, following the instruction in the file.
Once the paper is prepared (after internal reviews by experiments, if necessary), it must be submitted to the eprint arXiv. For first time users, general submission help can be found at the eprint arXiv site. You will receive confirmation email upon every step of the process, and if you don't, it means you still have more to do. The ultimate goal is to see the full text of your paper on the arXiv.org server with an eprint number in the form "arXiv/yymm.nnnn”.
After the paper is accepted by arXiv, please go to the LHCP 2014 Indico page. Identify your talk or poster, and upload a link to the arXiv paper in your contribution. Please also inform the conference secretary, Winnie Yu <whyu AT bnl.gov>.
All contributions are subject to review by the conference organizers.
The deadline for the proceedings submission is September 1, 2014.
