Largest Reciprocating Helium Expander in the world?

Model 4000 expander

The expander on HEUB-MAGCOOL has two cylinders, each cylinder has a 9.1 cm (3.6 inch) diameter bore
and a 7.6 cm (3 inch) stroke.

The refrigerator was constructed in 1975.
As of Oct 2002, one expander has 32,000 hours of operation. The second expander has about 40,000 hours.

Largest Wet Expander in the world?

The wet expander used in B902 has two cylinders, each cylinder has a 7.6 cm (3 inch) bore and a 5.1 cm (2 inch) stroke.

The wet expander was constructed in 1985 and has 22,000 hours of operation as of Oct 2002.

Running the wet expander at 60 rpm is quite an experience.  Time between maintenance can be easily extended over 5000 hours.
