Annual Employee Awards Ceremony, 6/27

Each year, Brookhaven employees are presented with awards to recognize distinguished contributions to the Laboratory’s mission: the Science and Technology Award, the Engineering Award, and the Brookhaven Award. These are the highest accolades given by Brookhaven to its employees.

The annual Employee Awards Ceremony will held tomorrow, Wednesday, June 27, at 4 p.m. in Berkner Hall. All are encouraged to attend.

Awards will be presented to the following recipients:

Science & Technology Award:
John P. Hill, Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science; William M. Morse, Physics; James T. Muckerman, Chemistry.

Engineering Award:
Yonggang Cui, Nonproliferation and National Security; Lewis Doom, Photon Sciences; Thomas Hayes, Collider Accelerator; Andrew Marone, Superconducting Magnet; Joseph Mead, Instrumentation; Kevin Smith, Collider Accelerator.

Brookhaven Award:
J. Carter Biggs, Physics; Nelson D. Cause, Business Operations; William R. Dorsch, Environmental Services; Sheryl Golden, Environmental Restoration Projects; David Pate, Collider Accelerator.

Refreshments will be served in Berkner Hall lobby following the award presentations.
