This Sunday, July 21, visit the National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS), and learn how it is used to look into everything from batteries to viruses. Tour the NSLS-II, a bright new light which will be the world's brightest photon microscope. Listen to science talks. Make your hair stand on end with the Van de Graaff generator at our hands-on science demonstrations and be enthralled by the “Science Laser Spectacular.”
Free family fun! No reservations are needed, but visitors 16 and older must bring a photo I.D. Visitors may arrive any time between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. All activities are on a first-come, first-served basis. A different facility will be featured each week and the last facility tour takes place at 3 p.m. The cafeteria and gift shop, also located in Berkner Hall, will be open until 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
