Joseph P. Indusi Elected Fellow of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management Joseph P. Indusi, Chair of the Nonproliferation and National Security Department at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory, has been elected a Fellow of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management. The institute provides leadership and professional development in nuclear materials management for a worldwide community of professionals in the field. Currently, it has over 900 members, of which about three percent are Fellows.

Researchers at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National
Laboratory are developing counterterrorism technologies to help
protect the United States from would-be terrorists wielding nuclear
weapons, dirty bombs, toxic chemicals, or explosives.

Promoting Nonproliferation Through Science Cooperation
The importance of safeguarding nuclear, chemical, and biological
weapons worldwide
has been long recognized by the U.S. Government, and BNL has played
a strong role in giving technical advice in this area since the late
