Staff Engineer (P-5) (Re-Posting) - Will contribute to the R&D, design, measurement, installation, and commissioning of the NSLS-II permanent magnet systems. Responsibilities will include designing and testing the electrical systems and controls interface for the insertion device magnetic measurement facility. Candidate will report to the NSLS-II Insertion Devices Group Leader. Qualifications Required: BS degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering; Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible related work experience in DAQ, UNIX, C/C++ programming and other scripting languages. Qualifications Preferred: Advanced degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering; Knowledge and experience in magnetic field measurement using: coils and Hall probes, EPICS, and motor controls.
