Student Program

The centerpiece of the Student Program is the special student poster session on Sunday March 27th, 2011. The session will take place in the Marquis Ballroom on the 9th floor of the Marriott Marquis, alongside the welcoming reception. The Student Program provides an opportunity or students to share their work with active professional researchers in the field; an occasion not just for intellectual enrichment, but also for making advantageous contacts with potential future employers. A team of judges will tour the posters ranking them according to originality and technical excellence as well as graphical and aesthetic presentation. The authors of the top two posters will be awarded $500.

The Marquis Ballroom will open for poster installation at 5:00 PM. Students will have one hour to prepare their posters. Students are expected to be present at their posters during the judging from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The winners of the student poster session will be announced on Thursday 31 March 2011 at the PAC'11 Awards Ceremony, just prior to the Conference Banquet. Students are permitted to enter one and only one poster into the Student Program and competition.

Register as a Student for PAC11;
Submit an abstract;
Apply for the special student poster session and also apply for travel grants and registration fee subsidies.

The deadline for registration is Monday, February 28, 2011. The deadline for grant applications is Friday, October 22, 2010. Recipients of grants and subsidies will be notified by Monday, December 20, 2010.
