Current Projects

Interdisciplinary Science Building (ISB)
The ISB will focus on energy-related R&D enabling breakthroughs in the effective uses of renewable energy through improved conversion, transmission and storage. The ISB will foster energy research that spans discovery through deployment.
Central Chilled Water Facility – Phase II (CCWF-II)
This approximately 14,000 gsf 2-story expansion project will more than double the size of the existing plant, and will provide needed chilled water and compressed air capacity for several new exciting projects, including the NSLS-II and ISB.
Renovate Science Laboratories - Phase I
This project will upgrade existing older and unsuitable laboratory facilities into modern, efficient laboratory space compatible with world-class scientific research.
Renovate Science Labs - Phase II
This is the second major renovation project funded by DOE’s Science Laboratory Infrastructure Program, will upgrade existing older and unsuitable laboratory facilities into modern, efficient laboratory space, compatible with world-class scientific research.
Utility Energy Service Contract – Phase I (UESC-I)
The Utility Energy Service Contract (UESC) is BNL’s effort to implement energy conservation projects in order to upgrade the site infrastructure and to help meet DOE mandated energy reduction goals.
