Workshop Announcement

A workshop will be held at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) on March 3, 4, 5, 2004 on neutrino super beams, target systems, large detectors and proton decay. It is being jointly sponsored by BNL/UCLA and the Neutrino Study group of the American Physical Society.

As has become evident in recent years, the fields of neutrino physics and proton decay are of fundamental importance to the understanding of particle physics and in particular the breadth of the standard model. This is a follow up to a workshop held at UCLA in December 2003, which explored the issues of neutrino oscillations, proton decay, and the establishment of a national underground laboratory. It is expected that this BNL/UCLA study will continue over the next years. The APS neutrino study group intends to produce a written report by the summer of 2004. This present workshop shall encompass presentations on the above noted subjects as well as the activities of working groups on the same. Please see the agenda .

All interested physicists are welcome. Non-U.S. citizens should fill out this on-line form as soon as possible. All who are planning to attend should complete the registration form.
